the lie of the land

a flash of time travel yesterday! i passed a leveled shopping mall near a freeway in north Dallas yesterday (i’ll try and return to take a photo!), and instantly remembered the deeply insightful introduction from Paul Carter’s ‘The lie of the land.” this analysis has much to do with my practices of eco-somatics: how are we in relationship with the land, how do we move on the land, how are we embodied and connected to the land and other beings? amazingly i recorded the first part of it some years ago. i apologize for the poor quality, and poor enunciation, but if you wanna listen… (it’s about 8 minutes)
